Week 3 In Lent

Each week for the remainder of Lent I will post the Collect of the week, Readings, Psalms from the Daily Office Lectionary, and the suggested canticles for Morning Prayer. I’ve made note of the confession of sins in the evening, and am using the provided canticles each day for Evening Prayer. This way you can pray on your own with ease, or mark them in advance if you would like to join Allison and I praying on Facebook Live.

Collect of the Week

Almighty God, you know that we have no power in ourselves to help ourselves: Keep us both outwardly in our bodies and inwardly in our souls, that we may be defended from all adversities which may happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
